Perma Plate Paintguard is a sealant, not a wax. It brings out the brilliance in the color of the paint and produces a glossy, mirror-like finish. Microscopic examination of a vehicle's paint reveals an uneven, imperfect surface. Paintguard smoothes these irregularities leaving a more uniform surface. Paintguard physically bonds to painted surfaces producing a greater durability and resistance against environmental elements, which can cause fading, oxidation and loss of gloss. Paintguard is an amino-functional based cross-bonding detergent resistant compound. The product is composed of silicone resins, aminofunctional polysiloxane and demethyl siloxanes, cross-linking polymers and polishing agents - the product is not a "cheap wax". In addition, Paintguard comes with a warranty that ensures that any covered damage is repaired or recondition to it's original state, we haven't heard of any wax that can provide that type of assurance.

How do I care for carpet with the Perma Plate Fiberguard application?
Perma Plate Fiberguard® is specially formulated to coat the individual fibers of your carpet and cloth upholstery. It seals against stains from surface dirt while allowing the fabric to breathe and retain its natural softness. Although a spill may penetrate the fabric to some extent, it will be suspended in the tiny air spaces between the weave of the fibers. All you have to do is bring it out.
Vacuum the carpet and the upholstery frequently to avoid soiling from surface dirt build-up. This will also prolong the life of the fabric because the dirt acts as an abrasive contributing to premature wear.
Liquid spills should be blotted up as soon as possible, especially colored sodas and fruit drinks. Use an absorbent cloth, pressing firmly and repeatedly, changing to dry sections of the towel as needed, until all of the wetness is removed. Dilute with water if necessary. If any discoloration remains, spray lightly with Perma Plate Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner or other non-foaming water based cleaner. Blot the area dry and brush lightly to blend with surroundings areas. Use the Perma-Plate Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner sparingly, a little goes a long way.
For stubborn or dried spots, wet with cleaning solution and follow the same blotting procedure. Dilute with water if necessary. Repeat until all of the substance comes up. Always blot the fabric firmly, never scrubbing, which can cause permanent damage.
Use Perma Plate Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner per the instructions on the bottle for oil based stains. Commercial fabric cleaners and spotting agents recommended for wax, tar, gum and grease will not hurt the Fiberguard finish. If a stain is not responding to the cleaning method above, or requires special attention, please contact Siskin Enterprises, Inc. toll free at (800) 453-8470 for additional instructions.
With regular use your carpet and upholstery may require periodic shampooing. Hot water extraction is preferred, as this liquefies the soil trapped in the air spaces of the fabric for easy removal. For lightly soiled surfaces, a foam type carpet and upholstery cleaner can be used.
How do I care for leather with the Perma Plate Leatherguard application?
Perma Plate Leatherguard® preserves and protects not-fabric upholstery against temperature extremes and UV radiation preventing fading, discoloration and cracking. Leather is a skin and is exposed to similar deterioration to that of human skin if not properly cleaned and conditioned on a regular basis. The cleaning and application of Leatherguard Renewer should be repeated every 3 to 4 months for surfaces that get regular wear and at least annually to all interior leather and vinyl surfaces.
Keep leather and vinyl surfaces free from debris by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild solution of soap and water or commercially available leather cleaner.
As leather ages it tends to lose the natural oils that keep it soft and supple. Due to climatic conditions, use and wear, leather and vinyl surfaces should be periodically conditioned to restore the moisture balance using Leatherguard Renewer.
Apply Leatherguard Renewer using a damp cloth or sponge. The surface must be clean. Even application is essential, as varied amounts of product will result in an unsatisfactory appearance. After the product has had time to absorb, remove excess product with a clean, dry cloth to ensure a uniform appearance. For a soft luster surface, buff the treated area with a soft, clean, lint-free cloth.
